Five-year uniform master’s degree studies in the field of law at the University of Law on Wroclaw guarantee gaining solid legal knowledge and skills necessary to work in the legal professions. In the field of law we offer two specializations:

LAW IN THE AREA RELATED TO THE COURSE OF JUSTICE

Specialization Law in the area related to the course of justice allows to gain knowledge and skills connected with resolving criminal cases and civil disputes as well as taking part in mediation proceedings. Student is prepared for the profession by practitioners and is able to gain knowledge by solving tasks related to certain, legal cases. Student regularly takes part in simulations of trials, oratorical competitions and workshops related to the forensic medicine and science. Student gains skills connected with preparing official and procedural documents and also becomes familiar with the activity of courts, prosecution and police. Choosing this specialization helps student to perform legal professions (such as: judge, prosecutor, advocate, notary public, legal advisor, enforcement officer) in future.

LEGAL SERVICES FOR ENTREPRENEURS AND CONSUMERS

Legal services for entrepreneurs and consumers allows to gain knowledge and skills connected with providing legal services for business entities (natural persons conducting business activities as well as companies). This specialization allows to conduct counseling and legal aid related to consumer rights and pursuing claims. Student gains skills connected with preparing procedural documents on behalf of entrepreneurs and consumers. Graduates are also prepared for running their own business activity and making decisions based on the legal knowledge.

Choosing this specialization helps student to perform legal professions (such as: legal advisor, mediator, negotiator, manager, advisor in non-governmental organizations, legal expert of the insurance and debt collection companies, lawyer in polish and international law firms).

Our university has experience in preparing students for legal professions. Academic staff uses active methods of teaching which help You to analyze and write legal texts. The most often teaching methods used at the University of Law are: analysis of the case law, working with case files, simulations of trials, solving tasks related to legal cases, preparing legal opinions and contracts connected with civil and economic law, writing procedural documents.

MULTIDIRECTIONAL LEGAL SKILLS

Studies in the field of law allow You to choose Your future career path within two areas. Apart from the apprenticeship (related to the profession of judge, advocate, prosecutor, notary public or legal advisor), You can also work in the area of legal service for entrepreneurs and consumers or become legal advisor or negotiator. You will gain general knowledge as well as the skills related to providing legal services for economic entities.

ADMISSION FOR THE APPRENTICESHIP

Graduation from studies at the University of Law opens the path related to applying for the apprenticeship (for such professions as: judge, advocate, prosecutor, notary public or legal advisor). We are proud that many of our Graduates have been accepted to the apprenticeships or works in the field related to law.

CLASSES CONDUCTED BY THE PRACTITIONERS

Classes at the University of Law in Wroclaw are conducted by practitioners and experts (judges, prosecutors, advocates, legal advisors). Lecturers use active methods of teaching, engage the students in discussions, encourage their interests and motivation and teach how to think independently and act efficiently.

INTERNSHIPS

Starting with the third year of studies each Student has the opportunity to begin different kinds of internships: related to administrative, criminal, civil or economic law. Our university will prepare You to start Your career path. For this purpose we provide group and individual career counseling. We support Students in finding internships consistent with their needs.

WORKSHOPS, MEETINGS, CONFERENCES OF A PARTICULAR BRANCH

Our university also offers You the opportunity to develop Your interests, thanks to the numerous and additional workshops, lectures or study trips. Together with Students we organize events with special guests who share their knowledge, experience and passion.

STUDENTS SCIENTIFIC ASSOCIATIONS

As a Student of the University of Law You will be able to participate in scientific associations and student organizations which will help You to develop Your knowledge and interests. Additionally, You can take part in classes conducted within the Law Clinic. Modern workshops will help You to broaden Your horizons and obtain additional knowledge related to commercial, economic or civil law.
