Supporting people with disabilities

SUPPORTING PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES

University of Law is adapted for needs of people with disabilities. We have the elevator, corridors and lecture rooms which allow to move in a wheelchair. We care for eliminating the cultural barriers and we provide full tolerance. We are open to increasing academic staff competences related to disabilities. Students, candidates or teachers with disabilities can use the assistance of the Rector’s Representative for supporting people with disabilities.

TASKS PERFORMED BY THE RECTOR’S REPRESENTATIVE FOR SUPPORTING PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES

  • FINANCIAL AND OTHER SUPPORT

    Coordinating and supervising support provided for students/ employees/candidates with disabilities.

  • RESPONDING TO NEEDS AND EXPECTATIONS

    Responding to certain needs and expectations of students and employees with disabilities.

  • REPRESENTATION

    Representing students with disabilities.

  • HELP WITH THE REQUESTS AND DOCUMENTATION

    Preparing opinions related to requests addressed to the university authorities . 

  • CONSULTATION AND GUIDANCE

    Conducting individual consultation and guidance.

  • ADJUSTED CLASSES

    Supporting lecturers while considering adapting classes to the needs of students with disabilities.

  • IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF EDUCATION

    Conducting actions related to increasing the quality of education and possibilities of participating in classes related to students with disabilities.

  • library computers with the keyboard and mouse adapted to be used by people with particular needs

  • e-books in IBUK LIBRA

  • computers in IT room adapted to be used by people with particular needs

  • laptop for rent for the time of studies

  • elevator chips

  • voice recorders

  • consultation with psychologist*

* consultation takes place in accordance with the schedule published in the Intranet
